We would like to congratulate Ashleigh Stubbs on winning the award for Best Supporting Actress in the Rose Bowl Awards which took place on Sunday 28 November. This is a huge achievement, and we are so proud of Ashleigh and thrilled she has received recognition for her outstanding performance as Beth in our November 2021 production of Little Women.
Bridgwater Operatic Society received seven nominations in total, including:
- Best Musical for Little Women
- Best Actress for Jess Gardener as Jo March In Little Women
- Ashleigh Stubbs for Beth March in Little Women
- Best Musical for Priscilla Queen of the Desert
- Best Actor for Mike Purnell as Bernadette in Pricilla
- Best Supporting Actress for Phoebe Petrov, Ashleigh Stubbs and Paige Brunton in Priscilla
- Best onstage visuals for Priscilla
Each nomination is a huge achievement as the Rose Bowl Adjudications cover such a vast area, including Devon, Gloucester, Wiltshire and Somerset, so each nominee should be incredibly proud.
